    After two scrimmages, head coach Courtney Olbert feels the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas are ready to open the season.

    “I saw some good things in both scrimmages,” Olbert said. “The girls have adapted well to the new offense.”

    Veteran starters returning are libero Hanna Zachary, outside hitter Kasey Harper and setter Alaina Halata.

    The Lady Brahmas hosted Stockdale in the season opener Tuesday.

    With an eight-team district, the LB get an early wake-up call when they host El Maton Tidehaven Sept. 13.
