'Nettes win two in Shiner Tourney

    SHINER – Sacred Heart’s first tournament saw the Indianettes go 2-3 against some very tough competition in the Shiner Tournament Friday and Saturday.

    The Indianettes reached the Gold Bracket where they lost to El Campo and Victoria St. Joseph.

    “We started slow on Friday and finished strong, but we did not take that into Saturday - we never showed up, “ Head coach Wanda Orsak said. “I knew St. Joe and El Campo were very good teams and win or lose I just wanted to play a good competitive match and we did not do that.”

    The Indianettes posted wins over Hallettsville and the Shiner JV.

    Annika Brooks was named to the all-tournament team.
