Lady Bulldogs take silver bracket championship at tournament

    The Yoakum High School (YHS) Lady Bulldogs went 4-4 and won the Silver Bracket at the Cuero Tournament last Thursday through Saturday.

    CUERO 2, YOAKUM 0

    The Lady Bulldogs opened with the hosts Lady Gobblers and lost 25-22, 25-22.

    CC CALALLEN 2, YOAKUM 0

    Yoakum then faced Corpus Christia Calalenn, losing 25-18, 25-15.

    YOAKUM 2, GONZALES 0

    The Lady Bulldogs rallied for a 25-11, 25-11 sweep of Gonzales.

    GOLIAD 2, YOAKUM 0

    Yoakum lost 25-13, 25-14 to Goliad in its fourth match.

    PL CALHOUN 2, YOAKUM 0

    The Lady Bulldogs lost to Port Lavaca Calhoun 25-19, 25-19 in their fifth match.

    YOAKUM 2, LULING 0

    The Lady Bulldogs opened Silver Bracket play with a 25-9, 25-21 win against Luling.

    YOAKUM 2, VICTORIA WEST JV 0

    Yoakum swept the Victoria West Junior Varsity 25-16 and 25-22 in the Silver Semi-finals.

    YOAKUM 2, SAN ANTONIO INCARNATE WORD 1

    Yoakum won against San Antonio Incarnate Word 23-25, 25-21,25-23 in the Silver championship game.
