St. Paul football: Bay Area Christian takes advantage of Cardinal turnovers

The St. Paul Cardinals received a small sting from the turnover insect as they lost four in a 20-7 setback at Bay Area Christian on Friday.
After a scoreless opening quarter, Bay Area Christian scored on a 29-yard touchdown run by Keaton Hall in the second quarter and the two-point play failed.
Bay Area took a 12-0 lead in the third quarter on a 3-yard run by Noah Pike with another missed two-point conversion.
The Cardinals got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard run by Jace Matias and Gabe Darilek tacked on the point after.
Bay Area Christian put the game away later in the quarter on a 21-yard pass from Austin Ariens to Matthew Young; Pike had a two-point run.
The Cardinals rushed the football 41 times for 180 and averaged 4.39 yards per carry. 
Sam Perez led the attack with 121 yards on 27 carries. Matias completed 2-of-11 passes for 11 yards.
Jackson Seibert led the defense with nine tackle assists and two tackles while Perez contributed five tackles assists and four tackles.
