Weimar 3, Indianettes 1
The Sacred Heart Indianettes blow a big second set lead and went on to lose to Weimar 25-18, 25-18, 18-25,5-13 in the SH Gym Tuesday, Sept. 3.
“I thought we played a good match, but losing the second set really hurt,” Indianettes head coach Wanda Orsak said. “This match should have gone five sets.”
SH’s loss was not because of Annika Brooks’ effort. The 6-3 senior outside produced 25 kills and had a double-double with 10 digs.
First Set
There were three ties at the onset - the last at 6-6 - and the Indianettes never led after that The Indianettes had 9 serving errors to Weimar’s 3.
Second set
Two aces by Lanie Haas and three kills by Brooks helped the Indianettes to a 13-0 lead before the roof caved in. The Lady Cats outscored SH 25-9 the rest of the way.

Fourth set
The momentum of winning the third set didn’t carry into the fourth. Weimar stared the set with a 16-6 run Annika Brooks: 25 kills, 10 digs, ace, block; Mallory Mueller: 4 kills, 3 blocks, dig.
