Eric Hartmann

Eric Michael Hartmann, 41, of Shiner, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
He was born May 28, 1983 in Shiner, to Venice Kindred and the late Michael Hartmann.
His sister Katy expressed this: “It breaks my heart to have to write this, but our beloved brother, Eric Hartmann, passed away unexpectedly this past Sunday. After we lost our Dad, Eric stepped up and became the man of our house, holding us all together. Now, we’re faced with the unimaginable—trying to navigate life without both of our rocks.
Eric wasn’t just a brother; he was everything—a devoted son, the coolest uncle, and a loyal friend to anyone lucky enough to have known him. Our Marine, our protector, always promised he’d watch over me, our Sister, and our Mom, that he’d be there no matter what. Now, he’s our guardian in Heaven, watching over us from above.”
Eric is a 2002 graduate of Shiner High School and was a veteran having served six years in the U.S. Marines with a tour of duty in Iraq. He was currently employed by EOG.
Survivors include his mother, Zina Hartmann of Shiner; twin sisters, Katy Wilkerson (Ryan) of Gonzales and Kourtney Nesloney (Chase) of Falls City and their children, Brody, Bowen, Hayden, Cade and Wrenlee; mother, Venice Kindred Smith of Yoakum; brother, Blane Tipton of Yoakum and sister, Haley Mabry (Jared) of Yoakum and their children, Kilee Caka, Tayler Pate and Chloe Mabry; grandmother, Lily Richter (Erni Mueller); many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Hartmann, who passed away July 30, 2024.
