    The Shiner Junior High volleyball teams competed in the Schulenburg Tournament on Sept. 14.
    7th Grade
    The Lady Braves earned third place defeating Bellville (25-22, 25-23), losing to Weimar (21-25, 25-21, 7-15) and then defeating Brazos (25-15, 25-8) in the final match.  Leading stats for the tournament were Aces: Eastyn Pohler (10), Lola Hornacky (9), Kendyl Boehm (5), Charlotte Hairell (5), Bree Nitsch (4); Digs: Nitsch (19), Hailey Malina (6); Assists: Hornacky (23), Pohler (15); Kills: Pohler (19), Boehm (10), Nitsch (10), Hornacky (7). 
    8th grade 
    The Lady Braves won the Consolation Championship against Brazos (25-11, 25-25) after losing to La Grange in their opening match (25-11, 19-25, 11-15), and stomping out Weimar (25-3, 25-10).  Leading stats for the day include Aces: Taylor Kocian (15), Savannah Durrett (14), Alexis Malina (9), Madi Hubbard (5), Tinsley Vasek (4); Digs: Vasek (14), Hubbard (5), Mallory Johnson (5), Assists: Kocian (13), Durrett (11); Kills: Stella Clifford (9), Durrett (8), Malina (7), Madison Coburn (6), Whitley Lyons (4).
