'Nettes 3-0 in district

    The Sacred Heart Indianettes are getting closer to getting their heads above water after posting two district victories last week.

    The latest was a 25-17, 25-6, 25-17 sweep of Victoria Faith Academy here Thursday.

    Sacred Heart upped its record to 11-12 and 3-0 with the two wins.

    Set 1

    The Indianettes scored the first six points of the set and were never headed.

    With SH leading 22-16, the Indianettes outscored the Lady Warriors 3-1 with the help of two hitting errors and a kill by Annika Brooks.

    Mallory Mueller and Brooks had four kills each in the set.

    Set 2

    The second set was a real skunking. The Indianettes had runs of 11-0 and 10-0 in the easy victory.

    Brooks had seven kills in the set.

    Set 3

    Faith Academy put up a fight before succumbing 25-17.

    Brooks had 10 kills in the set and Shyla Geaks four for Faith Academy.

    SH beat Bracken Christian School for the second time this season 25-11, 25-18, 25-18 in Bulverde Tuesday Sept. 24.

    “We played a solid two sets and then we let up a little in the third,” Indianette head coach Wanda Orsak said. “We just have to keep working on the basics, that is what is important in the end.”
