Shiner cross country: Burns, Shiner boys advance to regionals

Shiner hosted the 28-2A District Cross Country meet Monday at Green Dickson Park.
Varsity Girls
Megan Burns came in fifth and will run at the regional meet as an individual. She had a time of 14 minutes, 5.06 seconds.
Jo Caka placed No. 24 in 16:29.46 and Jewel Caka was No. 26 in 17:29.45
Varsity Boys
The Comanches scored 37 points to place second in the team standings and will compete in the regional meet.
Felix Nieto was Shiner’s top finisher with third in 21:41.61, followed by Collin Wallace in 21:56.06.
Gavin Wallace was No. 10 in 23:13.15; Kade Matula was No. 19 in 26:14.09, followed by Hudson Koncaba in 26:28.58.
