Moulton cross country: Kittens win district cross-country title

    The Moulton cross-country team held the 30-1A district meet on Oct. 9 at the Moulton City Park.
    Varsity Girls
    The Kittens varsity won the district title by scoring 31 points with runner up Nordheim getting 46 points. They will compete in the regional meet.
    Kate Mikulencak was the top finisher for Moulton with third place in 15 minutes, 17 seconds. She was followed by Mina Tinajero (15:51) and Addisyn Grieve (16:06). Addison Simper was ninth place in 17:10 and behind her was Katie Richter (17:47) and Angeles Juarez (18:23). Estrella Perez was timed at 18:56 for No. 13.
    Varsity Boys
    The Katz recorded 68 points to earn fourth.
    Brayan Colchado led the Katz with fourth place in 19:13. Bryan Fernandez got No. 11 with 19:58; Judson Enderle finished in 21:10 for No. 15; Wesley Brown got No. 17 with 21:39; Andrew Pierce crossed the finish line at 23:09 for No. 21 and following was Travis Haikenwaelder in 23:23 and Raymond Alvarez in 23:28.
    Colchado will compete at regionals as an individual.
    Junior Varsity Boys
    John Gomez had a time of 23:36 for second place.
    Junior High Girls
    Ava Olivarez won the race with a time of 14:22.
    Junior High Boys
    Blake Robinson was second with 15:06 and following was Hudson Colburn in 15:06. Cullen Mikulencak was No. 10 in 16:47.
