St. Paul cross country: SP runners looking forward to state meet

The St. Paul cross-country teams will compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state meet next Monday at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco.
Both teams will compete in the afternoon at the meet.
The girls are scheduled to run at 1:40 p.m. and the boys will run at 2:45, the final race of the meet.
“We have an afternoon race this year and it will not be freezing temperatures. We have been training for hills and speed. Looking forward to a great race,” St. Paul head coach Nicco Brown said. “On the boys side with three returners and three newbies, hoping to push from the start. Everybody has time goals to meet. For the girls, speed and heart is the name of the game. We know nothing else will cut it if we want a gold.”
