The Yearling 8th defeated the Goliad 8th, 28-8, in Goliad Thursday.

Fullback Jace Wimberly scored two touchdowns on runs of 2 and 25 yards.

Quarterback Will Halata scored a touchdown and twopoint conversion.

Halfback Creek Burnes had a 2-yard touchdown run and a 33-yard gain.

Taylor Koerth recorded a sack and Gunnar Pekar picked off a pass and returned it 40 yards.

The entire offensive and defense lines played a critical part in the game.

The 7th grade was edged 14-6 by Goliad.

Owen Jansky had two pass break ups and had a big pass reception from quarterback Kyler Courville to keep a drive alive.

C.J. Stevens had a 70- yard kickoff return. Terance Wilson and Mike Wilson also had some big gains.
