Billy Ray Drozd

Billy Ray Drozd passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at the age of 78.  
He was born in Lavaca County on July 4, 1946, to Jerome and Annilee Brunkenhoffer Drozd.  
Billy married Barbara Jean Hudgeons on Dec. 15, 1962, in Hallettsville. Together they had one son, David. 
Billy retired from the Postal Service in 2016. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also very fond of carpentry.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; two  grandchildren, Amber and Matthew Drozd, and one brother, Clarence Drozd.
Billy is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, David Drozd and wife, Tracy; four brothers, Daniel, Harvey, Jerome and Michael Drozd, and one grandchild. 
Visitation began at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4 at Kubena Funeral in Hallettsville.
Funeral services followed at 11 a.m., Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremy Kraatz officiated.
Burial followed in the Breslau Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
