St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Cards beat Pettus in Kenedy tournament
The Lady Cardinals went 1-1 in two Kenedy Tournament games on Dec. 21.
Harvest Christian Academy 63, St. Paul 33
St. Paul took on Harvest Christian Academy (Edinburgh) and fell 63-33.
The Lady Eagles had a strong opening with a 23-8 run and outscored St. Paul 20-15 in the second quarter for a 43-23 halftime lead.
HCA scored eight of 14 points in the third box and outscored the Lady Cardinals 12-4 in the fourth period.
Skylar Mozisek had 13 points to lead St. Paul while Lady Eagle Jamie Gonzalez hit six triples and led all scorers with 37 points.

Mozisek sank 18 points and Reese Chilek registered 10 points as St. Paul beat Pettus 46-31 Saturday in the tournament.
St. Paul led 12-8 after eight minutes and slightly outscored Pettus 9-8 in the second quarter. The Lady Cardinals went on a 19-8 run in the third period and Pettus scored eight of 14 points in the fourth box. Celine Cantu led the Lady Eagles with 12 points.
