Shiner girls basketball: LC junior varsity gets W over Ganado

The Lady Comanches junior varsity defeated Ganado and lost a close one to Schulenburg last week.
Shiner 20, Ganado 16
Emersyn Boehm had a 10-point game as the Lady Comanches earned a 20-16 win at Ganado Jan. 7.
Shiner led 8-4 after the first quarter and 6-4 run put them further ahead, 14-8, at halftime. Ganado outscored Shiner 6-4 in the third period and each team put in two points in the fourth period.
For Shiner, MaKenna Pish had two rebounds, two steals, one assist; Megan Burns contributed three steals, one rebound; Boehm also had eight steals and two rebounds; Lexi Boner recorded five rebounds, four steals, three assists; Evy Johnson finished with four steals; Raleigh Moore had one rebound; Harper Lenehan had three rebounds, two steals, one assist.

Schulenburg 20, Shiner 19
The Lady Shorthorns scored late in the fourth quarter to edge Shiner 20-19 on Friday.
Shiner led 3-2 after one quarter and were up 5-2 at halftime. Schulenburg got the gap down to 15-13 at the end of the third box.
Boner led the Lady Comanches in the scorebook with 12 points. Burns had two rebounds, one steal; Arabella Carlisle had one rebound.
Boehm finished with three rebounds, two assists, two steals; Boner also had three rebounds, one assist, one steal. Johnson had three rebounds, two assists; Lenehan tallied three rebounds, one assist
