LB snap two-game skid with victory over Palacios
The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas snapped a twogame losing streak with a 55-39 victory over Palacios here Friday night.
The LB finished the first half of District 25-AAA play with a 4-3 record and visited Rice Consolidated Tuesday.
Hallettsville led 35-29 entering the final quarter and out-scored the Sharkettes 20-10 in the final eight minutes behind Alaina Halata’s 10 points including 3 clutch free throws. Ironically, those were the only points she scored in the game.
The LB led 11-16 at the first break and extended the margin to 26-16 at the half. Addison Matula led the run with 6 points,
Three LB scored in double figured with Kasey Harper hitting 11 markers and Jans Henke 10.

Cobras 50, LB 35
The game was tight for three periods before the Cobras ran away and hid with a 21-8 fourth period sparked by Desiree Evans’ 10 points.
The Cobras were ahead 29-27 entering the final eight minutes prior to Hallettsville turning the ball over 8 times and making just 3 of 13 field goal attempts.
The Cobras were ahead 9-7 at the end of the first period and 20-15 at the half.
Hallettsville finished with 20 turnovers to Industrial’s 21.
The LB were just 4 of 12 from the foul line and Industrial made 11 of 18 attempts. Hallettsville made 3 of 11 from behind the arc.
