On Tuesday, Jan. 7, the West Side HIDTA Task Force, in conjunction with Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office and Hallettsville Police Department, conducted a traffic stop investigation within the city limits of Hallettsville, Lavaca County

The multi-agency effort led to the seizure of about 1,072 grams of methamphetamine. The driver, a resident of Victoria County, was arrested and booked into the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

Sheriff Steven Greenwell would like to commend his staff and partners within the Westside HIDTA Task Force for their proactive efforts to keep Lavaca County a safer place for all.
