Moulton Woman Arrested

    In a press release dated Jan. 9, 2025, Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that Esmeralda Valderas, 41, of Moulton, was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit.

    The arrest occurred Jan. 8 after officers tried to stop a 2014 black Chevrolet 4-door SUV on U.S. Highway 90 E/B for a traffic violation. The female driver, identified as Valderas, attempted to run, and a vehicle pursuit commenced. The vehicle was eventually stopped at U.S. Highway 90 and Popp Ln.

    Valderas was taken into custody and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.

    Assisting in the pursuit were Schulenburg Officers Vincent and Roggenkamp, as well as, Deputy Ulbig, Sgt. Lala, and Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
