'Nettes pick up two District wins

    The Sacred Heart Indianettes defeated two TAPPS District 5 Division IV opponents last week to set up the showdown with St. Paul which was played Tuesday night.

    SH downed Bulverde Bracken Christian School 41-29 here Tuesday, Jan. 30.

    The Indianettes led 11-8 at the end of the first quarter and behind Kenzie Chance’s 8 points expanded the lead to 22-13 at the half.

    Heather Wilson scored 7 points in the third period and the Indianettes led 32-21.

    The fourth period was pivotal. The Indianettes caused 8 turnovers and started the period with a 6-0 run to put the game out of reach.

    Wilson led all scorers with 15 points and Chance scored 11.

    Scoring: Kenzie Chance 5 1-4, 11, Mallory Mueller 1 0-0 2, Kaycee Schindler 1 3-4 5, Ashton Schaefer 2 0-0 4, Heather Wilson 6 0-0 15, Harley Wilson 1 2-4 4.
