Hallettsville council delayed because of Presidents Day

Given the observance of Presidents Day on Monday, a state and federal holiday for many, the city of Hallettsville did not meet for its regularly scheduled third Monday council meeting this week.

Rather, they intended to meet Tuesday evening instead, and they circulated a full agenda, including items such as discussion of substandard buildings in the city, updates to its investment policies as well as several proposed grant projects around the city.

That Tuesday meeting was scheduled to occur after our newspaper is sent to press for printing, so watch for the wrap up of events at that meeting in next week’s edition.
