Annual 42 domino tourney set for March 7-8

The annual 42 State Championship Domino Tournament will take place Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.

Warm-up games are scheduled for Friday night. The cost to register is$40 per team for the Friday night warm-up games.

A fish fry will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the KC Hall. Cost of the meal ticket is $14.

Tournament play will take place on Saturday with the qualifying rounds being played from 8:15 a.m. to noon.

Championship and consolation play is set for the afternoon with play scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m.

The finals will take place beginning at 9 p.m.

Cost for playing in Saturday’s tournament is $60 per team.

Saturday’s meals include:

• Breakfast – coffee and kolaches.

• Lunch: Stew, sausage, German potatoes and sauerkraut.

• Drinks and other foods will be available throughout the day at the hall.
