Indianettes win two games in Flatonia

FLATONIA – The Sacred Heart Indianettes copped three wins in the Flatonia Tournament held Thursday and Saturday.

Nettes 4, Luling 1

Kenzie Chance hit a two-run homer in the third inning in the victory over Luling Thursday.

Another run scored in the third inning when Karley Kostelnik’s single scored Avery Beach who singled.

Rylan Dworsky knocked in the final run with a triple in the fifth inning.

Yoakum 8, SH 6

A four-run fourth inning was the difference in the Lady Bulldogs’ 8-4 victory Thursday.

SH had just five hits with Rylan Dworsky going 3 for 3. Kenzie Chance drove in two runs with a triple.

Lanie Haas singled and scored two runs.

SH 10, SAIC 0 (5)

In a non-tournament game, the Indianettes run-ruled San Antonio Incarnate Word 10-0 Friday.

An eight-run fifth put Incarnate Word to sleep.

Ella Demel hit a tworun round tripper and doubled, Rylan Dworsky singled and tripled, and Karley Kostelnik singled.

SH 6, Smithville 3

A f o u r- r u n t h i rd inning led the Indianettes’ to a 6-3 win over Smithville Saturday.

Ella Demel started the fourth inning with a two-run home run to score Rylan Dworsky who had singled. Avery Beach doubled and was chased home by a Karley Kostelnik triple. She later scored on a base hit by Lanie Haas.

SH 17, Brazos 0

Avery Beach’s tworun homer highlighted the rout of Brazos Saturday.

Ainsley Grahmann and Laney Haas singled. Kennedy Zappe produced two hits and Kinley Migl doubled.
