Shiner track and field: Shiner girls score 94 to place third at Brahma Relays

    Shiner track teams competed in the Brahmas Relays on Thursday with the varsity girls getting top three.
    Varsity Girls
    Shiner scored 94 points for third place.
    JaLeah Curtis got third in Top Athletes with 23 points and JaMya Wright tied for fifth with 21 points.
    Curtis won the 100-meter dash and got second in the 200. 
    Wright won the 400 and got third in high jump. 
    Brinley Ramirez got second in long jump. 
    Kailey Boedeker got second in shot put and discus. The 400-relay team of Ramirez, Jaliyah Barnett, Wright and Curtis got first place.

    1600 Relay — 6th, Shiner (Radicke, Lily Prove, Jaeleigh Ramirez, Tatum Carson), 4:31.27.
    Long Jump — 2nd, Ramirez, 16-5.
    Shot Put — 2nd, Kailey Boedeker, 32-9 3/4.
    Discus — 2nd, Boedeker, 108-8
    Triple Jump — 6th, Peyton Wegener, 32-3.
    High Jump — 3rd, Wright, 4-8.
    Pole Vault — 4th, Kifer, 7-6.
    Varsity Boys
    The Comanches took fifth place with 59 points.
    Boe Boehm tied for eighth in the Top Athletes with 18 points.
    He got second in the 300 hurdles and third in the high jump.
    The 400 relay team of  Quincy Jones, Tyler Harvey, Triston Vesely and Caleb Cowan got third.

    JV Girls
    The Lady Comanches placed fifth with 75 points. 
    Reagan Horn got first place in the Top Athletes competition with 28 points. She got first in the 200, won the long jump and got runner up in the pole vault.
    Tatum Carson won the 400; Kiera Curtis got third in the 200 and 400.
    Marie Johnson got third in the 100 hurdles and the triple jump. 
    Reagan Fluitt got second in the shot put.

    Shiner scored 38 points to place seventh.
    Anthony Hernandez got eighth place in Top Athletes standings with 18.5 points. He got second in the 400-meter dash and won the high jump. Christopher Kostelnik was second in the 200.
