Shiner baseball: Comanches beat Weimar, Ganado
Shiner won both district games last week, defeating Weimar at home and taking care of business in Ganado against the Indians.

Charlie Clifford went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double, Jacob Nerada hit 2-for-4 with two RBI and Carson Schuette was 1-for-3, two runs, double and stolen base in a 7-2 win over Weimar on March 18.
Shiner started the scoring with two runs in the second, third and fourth innings for a 6-0 lead.
Weimar got within 6-2 in the top of the sixth and the Comanches added one run in the bottom of the inning.
Also for Shiner at the plate, Landyn Pohler was 1-for-2 with one run; Landen Christensen hit 1-for-3 with one run.
Jake Simper batted 1-for-4; Lane Simper scored two runs and Cauy Herman added one run.
Jake Simper got the win on the mound with two runs on five hits, three walks and seven strikeouts.
Pohler worked two innings in relief with one walk and two strikeout.
In the field, Christensen had five putouts, one assist; Schuette had one, four assists.
Jake Simper had three putouts, one assist; Nerada had one putout; Caleb Lehnert had one putout and Clifford had one assist.

Shiner scored three runs in the third frame while holding Ganado to one run for a 3-1 win Friday in Ganado.
Clifford earned the win with a single run on two hits, one batter hit, two walks and six strikeouts.
At the plate, Jake Simper was 1-for-3, one run, one stolen base; Nerada was 1-for-2 with an RBI; Caleb Lehnert hit 1-for-3 with a double.
Christensen finished 1-for-1 and Schuette scored one run.
