St. Paul girls and boys golf: SP girls, boys golf win district titles

The St. Paul girls and boys golf teams each claimed the TAPPS 2A-3 championship Monday at Victoria’s Riverside Golf Course.
Both teams will compete at regionals today at Waco’s Cottonwood Creek.
Girls
The St. Paul Lady Cardinals golf team claimed the TAPPS 2A-3 championship with a team score of 393. Sacred Heart came in second with 411.
Riley Mozisek had the best score for St. Paul with a 93 and was first medalist.
Faith Brown got second  with 98; Audrey Thibodeaux got third with 100. Reese Seibert carded a 101 for sixth, Skylar Mozisek got seventh with a 102 and Mary Sue Filip shot a 102 for eighth.
Also for the Lady Cardinals was Kylie Kelso with 121, Emma Marshall and Reese Chilek each shot 122 and Kenly Wyant had a 125.
Boys
St. Paul shot a 371 to get past Waco Valor Prep who had 399 for the district title.
Jackson Seibert was first medalist with 79; Clay Watkins had an 84 for fourth and Levi Morkovsky shot a 95 for ninth. Rylan Jalufka got a 113 for No. 15 and Michael Desarro had a 124 for No. 24.
Other results for the Cardinals was Jacob Arriola with 127, Kash McNabb recorded a 125 and Carter Chilek finished with 128.
