Shiner baseball: Comanches rout Schulenburg
Shiner got payback on Schulenburg with a 10-run win, and defeated Weimar and Ganado in recent games.

Shiner collected 13 hits in a 11-1 victory over Schulenburg April 8 to split the season series.
Shiner trailed 1-0 to start the game before scoring four runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Comanches took a 5-1 lead in the third inning, outscored Schulenburg 3-0 in the fourth, 1-0 in the fifth and 2-0 in the sixth inning.
Charlie Clifford took the win with one run, three hits two batters hit, one walk, and nine strikeouts.
He led at the plate by going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Landyn Pohler was 2-for-2 with three RBI; Caleb Lehnert hit 2-for-4 with one run. Boe Boehm went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Cauy Herman hit 1-for-2 with run and RBI.

The Comanches scored three runs in the seventh inning to build on a 2-1 lead for a 5-1 win at Weimar April 11.
Shiner opened scoring with one run in the third inning, Weimar tied the game with one run in the fifth and the Comanches retook the lead with a run in the sixth inning.
Jake Simper got the win with five hits, one run, three walks and five strikeouts in six frames worked. Pohler closed with one inning, one hit and two strikeouts.
Lehnert was the only multi-hit batter for Shiner, going 2-for-3 with one run; Nerada hit 1-for-4 with one run; Herman went 1-for-3 with one RBI; Landen Christensen swung 1-for-3- with one run.

The Comanches completed the season sweep over Ganado with a 3-2 nail biter April 15 at Green-Dickson Park.
In the bottom of the fifth with a 1-1 score, Christensen singled; Lehnert got a single and Schuette’s single scored Christensen for a 2-1 lead.
Clifford’s fly ball later scored Lehnert for the what would be the game-winning run. Cain Hyden for the Indians scored in the bottom of the sixth to get his team within 3-2.
Shiner opened scoring in the first inning when Schuette was walked and scored on a Nerada single.
Ganado tied the game with one run in top of the fourth inning.
At the plate, Nerada was 2-for-2 with an RBI and double; Christensen hit 2-for-2 with one run. Schuette got one hit, had one RBI and one run.
Clifford got the win with seven innings pitched, allowing two runs on four hits and six strikeouts.
