    Grace Halata notched her 300th career-high strikeout as the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas avenged a March 19 loss to Industrial with a 5-2 District 25-AAA victory over the Cobras here Tuesday, April 15.

    Halata, a junior lefthander, took a perfect game into the sixth inning before giving up two walks and a hit when Industrial scored its two runs. Halata surrendered two hits, walked two and struck out seven.

    Hallettsville (21-4, 11-3) scored its runs on nine hits, five walks and two Cobra errors.

    The LB scored in the second inning on a RBI single by Addison Matula that scored Taylor Yeatts, who had singled.

    Three more runs scored in the third inning for a 4-0 lead.

    Caitlynn Halata led off with a home run. Yeatts and Matula singled and both scored on an error.

    The final run came in the fourth inning on a RBI single by Caitlynn Halata.

    Caitlynn Halata went 3-for-4.
