Dennis Muelker

Dennis Dale Muelker, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home in North Carolina.
He was born September 2, 1947, in Gonzales County, to the late Denver Leroy Muelker and Viola Marie (Petru) Muelker.
He graduated from St. Paul High School in Shiner and went to Sam Houston State University before joining the United States Air Force, serving in the Strategic Air Command, reaching the rank of Sergeant.
He was a retired Supply Chain Manager with Intel Corporation. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville, NC where he served as an usher and was active participant in the parish Adoration Team for many years. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dennis had a love for sports. He excelled in baseball and basketball at St. Paul High School and was a huge fan of the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He would watch every game of the Astros especially after retirement even when the team was out on the west coast while he was out in the eastern time zone. It was an interesting time in the house when the Astros and Yankees squared off since Maggie is a Yankee fan.
He enjoyed cruising with Maggie to many destinations, especially to Europe.  He liked to play slot machines while on cruise ships and occasionally at some casinos, always looking for the three 7’s. He was a math whiz and could always count on him remembering birthdays and other special occasions.
Survivors include his wife, Magdalena (Maggie) Plaza-Muelker; his son, Rodney Neal Muelker; grandchildren, Brian and Sara Muelker; siblings, Gary Muelker (Debbie), Brenda Biela (Richard), Linda Muelker (Lisa); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Muelker and James Muelker; and nephew; Cody Muelker.
