Shiner football: Shiner sub varsity win three vs Industrial

The Shiner subvarsity teams went 3-0 against the Industrial Cobras on Thursday.

The Shiner Comanches took care of business against Industrial Thursday at home with an 18-16 win behind two rushing touchdowns and a two-point conversion by Levi Werner. Anthony Hernandez added a two-point play and Hunter Hopkins got a safety.
Shiner led 8-6 after the first quarter and outscored Industrial 8-0 in the second quarter for a 16-6 halftime lead. Industrial got within 16-9 at the end of the third quarter and they outscored the Comanches 7-2 in the fourth quarter.
The Comanches feel short to Poth on Sept. 11 7-6.

The Braves 7th team defeated Industrial 38-6 in Industrial.  Eli Stone rushed for four touchdowns  and Kolt Keller threw a touchdown pass to Keaton Kurtis.
The Shiner 8th team won 28-14 over the Cobras. 
Luke Polasek led Shiner with two touchdowns; Brodie Kifer scored at the end of the first half on a reverse which turned out to be a pivotal moment in the game. Garrett Fric scored one touchdown in the fourth quarter.
