Moulton cross country: Kittens place second in 1A-2A girls varsity at Shiner meet
The cross-country runners took part in the Shiner meet Saturday at Green-Dickson Park with the varsity girls finishing high.
Varsity Girls (1A-2A 2 miles)
The Kittens scored 53 points to place second in the 1A-2A division.
Ava Olivarez led Moulton with ninth place in 14 minutes, 22.36 seconds.
Addyson Grieve was clocked at 14:50.01 for No. 16; Mina Tinajero was No. 21 with 15:10.4; Kate Mikulencak entered a 15:39.73 for No. 26; Marison Manzano earned No. 29 with 15:51.08; Addison Simper recorded 16:14.43 for No. 32; Katie Richter checked in at No. 40 with a time of 17:05.72.
Varsity Boys (1A-2A 3.1 miles)
Judson Anderle got a top 10 in the 1A-2A division with eighth in 21:23.32.
JH Girls (2 miles)
Blakely Pilat was fifth in 14:23.5; Rena Pierce was No. 22 in 15:22.09; Kyler Mikulencak was timed at 17:38.82 for No. 67.
JH Boys (2 miles)
Hudson Colburn was No. 34 in 14:21.32; Nicholas Simper was No. 61 in 15:05.27; Lorenzo Tousek was No. 106 with 17:38.53.
