Shiner cross country: Boys win district title

    Both Shiner cross-country teams will advance to the regional meet after solid showings at the 28-2A meet Monday morning at Green-Dickson Park. The Shiner boys won the district championship.
    Varsity Girls
    The Lady Comanches placed third with 54 points.
    Hailey Radicke was the top Shiner finisher with ninth place in 14 minutes, 54.7 seconds.
    Alena Winkenwerder was No. 13 in 15:32.82; Addy Siegel placed No. 18 in 16:53.94. 
    Jewel Caka recorded 17:11.32 for No. 20 and Kayla Heinold was No. 22 in 17:30.17.
    Varsity Boys
    The Shiner Comanches outscored Flatonia 52-38 for the team title.
     Joshua Lecon was fifth in 21:31.82. Tobias Gipson was No. 16 in 24:00.59, Micah Eaves was No. 18 in 24:38.55 and Logan Benavidez was No. 27 in 26:07.76.
