Moulton boys basketball: Bobkatz win Taft Tournament
The Bobkatz went 4-0 and won the Taft tournament last weekend.
Moulton 58, Victoria East JV 47
Hunter Anderle netted 13 points and sank two treys to lead the Katz to a 58-47 win over Victoria East junior varsity Thursday to start the tournament.
Moulton led 21-19 after the first quarter and held 34-31 advantage at halftime.
The Katz went on a 12-8 run in both the third and fourth quarters.

Moulton 48, Mission Veteran Memorial 36
The Katz held a 10-point lead at halftime against Mission Veteran Memorial and had the margin at the end of the game in a 46-36 win on Thursday.
Moulton outscored Veteran Memorial 12-10 in the first eight minutes and went on a 12-4 run in the second quarter.
Veteran Memorial scored 11 of 20 points in the third period and the Katz went on a 13-11 run in the final eight minutes.
Kenton Kirkland led Moulton with 11 points. Aurelio Chavero was Veteran Memorial’s top scorer with 14 points.

The Katz outscored Palacios 19-4 in the first frame and rolled to a 46-38 win on Friday. Moulton outscored the Sharks 13-9 in the second frame and then scored 10 of 17 points in the third frame. Palacios make a fourth-quarter rally attempt with an 18-4 run.
Alex Trevino paced Moulton with 12 points and a triple while Kirkland contributed 11 points.
KD Sedilio bagged 16 points to lead the Sharks.

The Katz led 15-7 after the first quarter and 17-10 at halftime.
Moulton held a slight edge in the third period, 10-9 and Alice scored 11 of 20 points in the fourth stanza.
