St. Paul girls basketball: SP girls get three wins at Schulenburg tourney

    The Lady Cardinals went 3-2 and won the Silver Bracket at the Schulenburg Tournament last weekend. 
    Industrial 46, St. Paul 31
    Skylar Mozisek scored 12 points in St. Paul’s 46-31 loss to Industrial on Thursday.
    Industrial led 10-9 after one quarter and outscored the Lady Cards 12-5 in the second quarter.
    Industrial went on a 16-8 run in the third quarter and St. Paul outscored them slightly 9-8 in the fourth box.
    Karli Stanush led Industrial with 12 points.

    Skylar Mozisek scored 17 points with two triples and Riley Mozisek got 10 rebounds as St. Paul came back to beat Yorktown 51-39 later on Thursday.
    St. Paul led 15-11 after one quarter and then outscored Yorktown 12-11 in the second quarter.
    The Lady Cardinals went on a 12-6 run in the third quarter and scored 12 of 23 points in the fourth quarter.
    Palyn Koopman hit five triples and recorded 23 points to lead Yorktown.

    Reese Chilek scored six points with a triple and Ashlin DeSarro scored six points as well in St. Paul’s 44-22 loss to Bay Area Christian on Friday.
    BAC outscored St. Paul 17-8 in the opening quarter and led 27-16 at halftime. 
    St. Paul outscored BAC 2-0 in the third frame but BAC sealed the win with a 17-4 fourth-quarter run.
    Mackenzie Medellin hit three triples and scored 15 points to pace BAC.

    Skylar Mozisek scored 14 points and made a three while Kristin Cerny chipped in 11 points and two treys in the Lady Cardinals’ 45-40 comeback against East Bernard later on Friday.
    EB led 19-10 after the first quarter and outscored St. Paul 9-7 in the second frame. 
    St. Paul cut EB’s lead to 31-24 after the third quarter before outscored the Lady Brahmas 21-6 in the fourth quarter. Haley Preisler was EB’s top scorer with 13 points and three triples.

    The Lady Cardinals closed out the tournament with a 47-36 win over Yorktown in the Silver Championship on Saturday.
    Skylar Mozisek led St. Paul with 16 points and Cerny sank 11 points. 
    Yorktown led slightly 10-9 after eight minutes before a 12-3 run by the Lady Cards in the second frame gave them a 21-13 lead. St. Paul outscored the Kitty Kats 11-8 in the third quarter and the teams shared 30 points in the fourth frame 
    Gracie Stehling was the top Yorktown scorer with 21 points.
