Shiner athletics: Shiner football promoted to 2ADI

Shiner ISD’s football, volleyball and basketball alignments for the next two schools years were released by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) on Monday.
Football
The Comanches have been promoted to 2A Division 1 after competing in 2A Division 2 for the last two years, for the 2026 and 2027 football seasons.
Shiner is in Region 4, District 15 with Bloomington, Danbury, Flatonia, Ganado, Kenedy and Weimar.
Volleyball
The Lady Comanches volleyball team will compete in Region 4, District 27 alongside Bloomington, Danbury, Flatonia, Ganado, Louise and Weimar.
Basketball
The Shiner Lady Comanches and Comanches basketball teams will compete in Region 4, District 28 with Bloomington, Danbury, Flatonia, Ganado, Louise, Weimar and Yorktown.
