Moulton softball: Kittens go 4-0 last week

The Moulton Kittens softball team swept a home double header against Weimar Junior Varsity March. 10 and defeated Bloomington and Schulenburg back-to-back Friday and Saturday.
Moulton 6, Weimar JV 4 (Game 1)
Taylor Self doubled, got four hits and two RBI with Karsyn Blahuta going 2-for-3 as the Kittens edged Weimar 6-4 in the opener.
Moulton led 1-0 after one inning before the Lady Wildcats outscored them 3-1 in the third for 3-2 lead.
Moulton outscored Weimar 4-0 in the sixth and Weimar got a single run in the top of the seventh.
Bethany Kram pitched the whole game for the Kittens with four runs on seven hits, one batter hit, four walks and five strikeouts.
Abigail Siegel made six putouts in the field.

Moulton 20, Weimar JV 0 (Game 2)
The Kittens scored nine runs in the first and plated 11 in the third to topple the Lady Wildcats 20-0 in three innings in the second game.
Self again led at the plate by going 4-for-4, two runs, one double and four RBI; Katie Richter hit 2-for-3 for four runs and four RBI. Addison Simper hit 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.
Kram pitched three innings with a three-hit shutout with two strikeouts. 
Richter had three putouts.

Moulton 11, Bloomington 0
Kram pitched a one-hit shutout with a walk and 10 strikeouts in the Kittens 11-0 win over Bloomington Friday at home.
Moulton led 2-0 after one inning, 3-0 after two frames before scoring four runs in the third and fourth squares. Bloomington had nine errors in the game.
Simper was 2-for-3, two runs; Self doubled, scored two runs and one RBI while  Blahuta got one hit and scored two runs with one RBI.
Siegel had four putouts in the field.

Moulton 14, Schulenburg 1
The Kittens scored eight runs in the first inning and defeated Schulenburg 14-1 on the road Saturday.
The Kittens outscored Schulenburg 1-0 in the second inning and 4-0 in the third. They scored one run in the fourth frame and the Lady Shorthorns scored one run in the fifth inning.
Simper led at the plate going 2-for-4, two runs; Richter hit 2-for-3, run and RBI; Madison Rothbauer, was 2-for-3, three RBI, one run and Kram hit 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Kram pitched the whole game with two hits, one run, one walk and six strikeouts.
Siegel had four putouts.
