Shiner softball: Lady Comanches earn run-rule wins over Schulenburg, Louise

    The Lady Comanches softball team earned run-rule victories at home to Schulenburg and away at Louise last week.
    Shiner 15, Schulenburg 0
    Lauren Springfield hit 2-for-3 with a home run; Addy Siegel batted 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI while Kloe Polasek got two hits, two runs.
    Hailey Radicke and Taylor Kocian both doubled as Shiner blanked Schulenburg 15-0 on Friday.
    Springfield shut out the Lady Shorthorns, allowing one hit and striking out four in three innings.
    Kenzie Springfield had four putouts on defense.
    Shiner led 2-0 after one inning, scored four runs in the second and brought home 10 runs in the third.

    The Lady Comanches scored 16 runs in the frst inning and four in the third to defeat Louise March 10 on the road 20-0.
    Kocian hit a grand slam, scored two total runs and had four RBI while Addy Siegel went 2-for-2 with two runs and four RBI.
    Lauren Springfield ( two strikeouts), Polasek (three strikeouts) and Radicke (one strikeout) each pitched one inning to combine for a no-hit shutout with no walks or batters hit.
    Cowan, Gracyn Chrismon and Kocian each had one putout.
    Shiner played at Weimar on Tuesday and hosts Ganado tomorrow in this week’s action.
