    The Shiner A girls golf team placed first at the district meet with a team score of 450 April 1 at Weimar to move on to regionals as a team.
    Olivia Akin was first medalist by shooting 57-52-109. Jaeleigh Ramirez was second medalist with 59-53-112.
    Addie Prove was third medalist by carding 61-52-113.
    Evy Johnson shot 55-61-116 and Whitley Lyons recorded 63-63-126.
    The Shiner B team placed third with a 497.
    Raleigh Moore qualified for regionals with a 59-59-118 and Jessica Whiddon will be a regional alternate by scoring 55-66-121. Also for the B team was Harper Lenehan with 61-66-127; Tinsley Vasek who carded 69-62-131 and Maddie Collins who had 65-67-132.
    The regional meet will be held April 15-17 in Corpus Christi.
