Shiner baseball: Shiner hardballers get wins over Bloomington, Louise in district

Shiner got a pair of shut outs in an away win at Bloomington and a home win against Louise last week.

Charlie Clifford was 2-for-2, triple, two runs and three RBI while Bode Werner got two hits with three runs and one RBI to pace Shiner to a 15-0 win over Louise Thursday at home.
Shiner led 6-0 after one inning, scored two runs in the second, four in the third and brought in three in the fourth.
Kaden Neskora got the win on the hill with a three-hit shutout, three walks and five strikeouts.
Werner made three putouts in the field.

Boe Boehm hit 2-for-2 with two runs, double and three RBI while Clifford doubled and scored three runs; Werner was 1-for-4 with three runs in Shiner’s 14-0 win at Bloomington March 31 to complete the season series with a sweep.
Shiner scored four runs in the second inning, four more in the third and six runs in the fourth.
Landen Christensen shut out the Wildcats, allowing one hit, issuing two walks and striking out nine. Werner had two putouts and one assist on defense.
