Grand jury gives out three felony indictments

The Lavaca County grand jury issued three felony indictments during the month of May 2026.

An indictment should not be interpreted as a finding of guilt. Instead, it indicates that sufficient evidence has been presented for the case to move forward to trial, where a judge or jury will determine the defendant’s guilt of innocence.
