Commissioners: no on fireworks ban

DeWitt County Commissioners voted against an aerial fireworks ban for Independence Day at the June 8 meeting.

“We do this every year when the 4th of July holiday rolls around,” DeWitt County Judge Daryl Fowler said. “We are not currently under a burn ban and with the amount of rain we have had, close to ten inches, there is no need for a ban.”
