St. Paul volleyball: Pesek closes out career with Lady Crusader volleyball

    University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 2026 graduate and 2022 St. Paul graduate Cameron Pesek played in over two dozen matches in her final year of college volleyball.
    In the opening match against University of St. Thomas (Texas) in the St. Thomas Tournament on Aug 29, Pesek played in two sets, one kill, two errors, eight total attacks, -.125 hitting, two digs, one block assist, one total block and 1.5 points in the Lady Crusaders’  25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22 loss.
    She played in  three sets, seven kills, three errors, 15 total attacks .267 hitting one assist, one receiving error, two digs, one block assist, one total block and 7.0 points in UMHB’s 3-1 win over Adrian College Aug. 30 in the tournament.
    UMHB closed out the tournament with a 3-0 win over Alverno Aug. 30 and Pesek played in three sets, three kills, six total attacks, .500 hitting, three digs, two block assists, two total blocks and 4.0 points.
    Pesek took part in four sets, had seven kills, six errors, 28 total attacks, .036 hitting, four digs, two block assists, two total blocks and 8.0 points in UMHB’s 25-19, 26-28, 25-16 and 25-18 win over Concordia University (Texas) to start the East Texas Baptist University Tournament on Sept. 5.
    Later that day, in the tournament game against Belhvaven(Mississippi) where the Lady Crusaders won 25-10, 25-17 and 25-17, she played in three sets, two kills, one error, six total attacks, .167 hitting, three digs, one block assist, one total block and 2.5 points.
    Pesek played in five sets with 19 kills, three errors, 43 total attacks, .372 hitting, two digs, seven block assists, one block error, seven total blocks and 22.5 points in the 20-25, 25-18, 25-16, 17-25 and 15-9 win over Carroll University on Sept. 6.
    To close out the tournament, UMHB swept University of Dallas 25-11, 25-11 and 29-27 and Pesek played in three sets, two kills, one error, nine total attacks, .111 hitting, one assist, one dig and 2.0 points.
    The Lady Crusaders beat Schreiner University 25-10, 25-20 and 25-20 Sept. 11 at home and Pesek took part in three sets, five kills, three errors, 17 total attacks, .118 hitting and 5.0 points.
    She played in three sets, five kills, one error, 10 total attacks, .400 hitting and 5.0 points in UMHB’s 25-14, 25-17 and 25-17 win over Methodist University Sept. 13 in the home tournament..
    Later that day against LeTourneau University, Pesek played in three sets, four kills, one error, 13 total attacks, .231 hitting, two block assists, two total blocks and 5.0 points and UMHB won 25-11, 25-21 and 25-18.
    In the Paint it Gold/Gold Out for Pediatric Cancer game at home, the Lady Crusaders fell to East Texas Baptist University 25-16, 25-23 and 25-22 as she took part in three sets,  four kills, five errors, 20 total attacks, -.050 hitting, one dig, three block assists, three total blocks and 5.5 points.
    Pesek played in five sets, seven kills, five errors, 23 total attacks, .087 hitting, 1 dig, one solo block, one block assist, two total blocks and 8.5 points in UMHB’s 25-23, 15-25, 22-25, 26-24 and 15-10 loss at Howard Payne University Sept. 26 in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) opener.
    Pesek played in one set with one error, two total attacks, -.500 hitting and 0.0 points in the 25-9, 19-25, 25-23 and 25-20 loss at Hardin-Simmons University in an ASC game.
    The Lady Crusaders played a double header at Huntingdon College (Alabama) on Oct. 3.
    Pesek played in three sets with four kills, one error, six total attacks, .500 hitting, 1 dig, one solo block, one total block and 5.0 points in 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11 UMHB win in the opener.
    In the second match, Pesek played in three sets, 10 kills, one error, 19 total attacks, .474 hitting, two digs, one solo block, one total block and 11.0 points. as UMHB won in a sweep, 25-12, 25-15 and 25-23.
    Pesek competed in three sets, nine kills, one error, 12 total attacks, .667 hitting and 9.0 points in the Lady Crusaders’ 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16 win Oct. 7 at Howard Payne.
    At Concordia University on Oct. 10, she played in four sets, seven kills, four errors, 22 total attacks, .136 hitting, two digs, three block assists, one block error, three total blocks and 8.5 points in the Lady Crusader’s 22-25, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-9 win.
    UMHB played at East Texas Baptist in ASC play, falling 25-20, 25-20 and 25-21. Pesek took part in three sets, two kills, one error, five total attacks, .200 hitting, one block error and 2.0 points.
    UMHB defeated Hardin-Simmons on the road Oct. 23 25-14, 13-25, 17-25, 25-19 and 15-7 as
    Pesek played in all five sets, 11 kills, two errors, 25 total attacks, .360 hitting, one solo block, one block assist, one block error, two total blocks and 12.5 points.
    Pesek played in four sets, seven kills, two errors, 20 total attacks, .250 hitting, one dig, three block assists, three total blocks and 8.5 points in the Lady Crusader’s 25-19, 25-19, 27-29, 26-24 win over Howard Payne Oct. 24 at home during Senior Day.
    The Lady Crusaders beat Austin College on the road 25-16, 25-18, 13-25 and 25-19 Oct. 28 and Pesek played in three sets, two kills, one error, nine total attacks, .111 hitting, one dig, two block assists, two total blocks and 3.0 points.
    She took part in three sets, three kills, two errors, 10 total attacks, .100 hitting, one block assist, one total block and 3.5 points in UMHB’s 25-21, 25-20, 25-23 win at Hendrix College in Arkansas on Nov. 2.
    The Lady Crusaders played at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. Nov. 6, taking a 25-17, 25-8 and 25-19 win with Pesek playing in three sets, three kills, one error, 12 total attacks, .167 hitting, one dig, two block assists, two total blocks and 4.0 points.
    On Nov. 8, UMHB played two games in Jackson, Miss., against Belhaven University and Millsaps College. 
    Pesek played in two sets, one error, five total attacks, -.200 hitting, one dig and 0.0 points in the 25-9, 8-25, 25-20 and 25-23 win over Belhaven.
    She  competed in five sets, three kills, two errors, seven total attacks, .143 hitting, one solo block, one total block and 4.0 points in a 25-22, 22-25, 15-25, 25-13 and 15-7 win over Millsaps College.
    UMHB took on Hardin-Simons Nov. 14 in the ASC Championship Tournament in Marshall; the Lady Crusaders came up short 21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 30-32 and 15-12 to conclude the season and in her final match for UMHB, Pesek played in five sets, five kills, five errors, 21 total attacks, .000 hitting, six digs, two solo blocks, two block assists, four total blocks and 8.0 points.
    Pesek’s totals for the season are 87 sets played, 26 matches played, 132 kills,  56 errors, 373 total attacks, .204 hitting,  two assists, one receiving error,  34 digs, 0.39 digs a set,  seven solo blocks, 33 block assists,  five block errors,  40.0 total blocks, .46 blocks a set , 155.5 total points and 1.79 points a set.
    The Lady Crusaders posted a  20-6 record in the matches that Pesek played in.
    Her career totals are 260 sets played, 86 matches, 388 kills, 1.49 kills a set, 178 errors, 1,175 total attacks,.179 hitting, four assists, .02 assists a set, 109 digs, 0.42 digs a set, one receiving error, 19 solo blocks, 109 block assists, 128 total blocks, 0.49 blocks a set, 10 block errors, 461.5 points and 1.77 points a set.
