Jourdanton wins best-of-three series 2-1

KARNES CITY – The Brahmas were eliminated from the playoffs after Jourdanton came back from a one game deficit to take the series two games to one.The Brahmas lost the rubber match of the series 9-5 Saturday afternoon after a hail of walks, hit batsmen and errors.

Brahmas finish 10th

AUSTIN – Brahma golf finished 10th at the UIL State Tournament held Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28 at Jimmy Clay Golf Course.The Brahmas shot a team total 334-345-679.Eli Ferguson shot the best score with a 78-80-158.

Brahmas defeat Stockdale 6-1, 12-2

KENEDY – The Hallettsville Brahmas swept Stockdale 6-1, 12-2 to win their bi-district 3A Division II series Thursday night.Game 1H’ville 6, Stockdale 1Hudson Chenard overcame a shaky first inning and pitched a complete game in the 6-1 victory.

VANDERBILT – The Brahmas ended the regular season with a 3-2 victory over Vanderbilt Industrial Wednesday, April 22.The game was called after five innings because of rain.Weston Loudon pitched all five innings and gave up two unearned runs, two hits, did not allow a walk and struck out four.

Brahmas 10th after first day

AUSTIN – Brahma golf was in 10th place after the first round of the UIL State Golf Tournament held at Jimmy Clay Golf Course Monday.The Brahmas shot a team total of 334.Defending state champion Wall carded a 304, Gunter was second (307) and Cameron Yoe third (311).

Brahma golf qualifies for state

VICTORIA – The Brahma golf team is headed to state after finishing second in the Class 3A Region IV Tournament at Victoria Country Club Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14.The Brahmas shot a team total of 689 – 337 the first 18 holes and 352 in the second round.

Brahmas sew up dist. title

Hallettsville won its second District 25-3A championship in three years with a 5-3 victory over Vanderbilt Industrial here Friday night.Hudson Chenard pitched a complete game and had to throw 114 pitches to do so. Chenard struck our five and walked three.

Brahmas walk it off in victory over Cardinals

In a pitcher’s dual, the Brahmas took a huge 2-1 District 25-AAA victory over Columbus here Tuesday on a night veterans and first responders were honored.Hudson Chenard scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning for the margin of victory.

Brahmas second in district golf

The Brahma golf team finished second in the District 25-AAA Golf Tournament held at Victoria’s Riverside Park Golf Course Monday, March 30.The scores were as close as close could be.Hallettsville shot a team total of 337, one stroke behind Columbus. Vanderbilt Industrial was third with a 338.
