LHD Board hears from new ophthalmologist

The Lavaca Hospital District Board of Directors met in its regular monthly meeting Monday evening and heard a short presentation from Dr. Van Kaden Andrea, the new ophthalmologist at Lavaca Medical Center.Dr. Andrea is a native Texan and grew up in the small town of Greenville.

LHD Board receives strategic planning report

The Lavaca Hospital District Board of Directors heard from Lavaca Medical Center chief diagnostic service officer Keith Kutac, who presented the strategic planning committee’s report for 2025.Kutac informed the board of the process the committee follows in bringing the report to the board.

YCH named to top 100 critical access hospitals

The Yoakum Community Hospital (YCH) was one of three hospitals in the state of Texas to earn the title of top 100 critical access hospitals in the nation.The top critical access hospital recognition is an index measuring hospital quality, financial outcomes, and in-patient market share.

YCH team participates in heart walk

Yoakum Community Hospital (YCH) is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association. The hospital’s hardworking employees raised money for the worthy cause with a team that participated in the 6th Annual Crossroads Heart and Stroke Walk on Feb. 3.
