According to a Lavaca County elections department press release, the county’s election department along with counties across the state, are aware of the ongoing technical challenges within the statemanaged voter registration system.

Primary early voting ends Friday

Early in-person voting in the primary election ends Friday with the general election to take place on Tuesday, March 3.Voters who want to vote early can do so today, Wednesday, Feb. 25 as well as Thursday and Friday, Feb. 26 and 27.

Voter registration deadline is Monday

New voters, or voters who need to update their registration due to a change of address have until Monday, Oct. 6 to register to vote in the November election.To register to vote in Texas, the individual must complete a paper application and return it to the county election office of their county.
