The filing period for candidates seeking seats on the Yoakum Independent School District (Yoakum ISD) Board of Trustees and the Yoakum City Council closed Friday, Feb. 13. Each entity reported no races will be contested.

The filing deadline for candidates running for positions on the Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees, the Hallettsville City Council and the Lavaca Hospital Board of Directors ended this past Friday, Feb. 13 with each entity reporting no contested races.
