Cause of Thursday tank battery blaze undetermined

What caused a rather large and intense tank battery fire late last Thursday in a relatively remote part of Lavaca County remains a mystery, local fire officials reported this week.

Pavlas Tavern donates to Moulton VFD

Willie Pavlas from over at Pavlas Tavern met recently with Moulton Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tim Koncaba just outside his place of business on Main Street to pass along a donation toward helping the department finish out the interior of its new fire station.
