Czechaholics inducted into South Texas Polka Hall of Fame

A popular area polka band, The Czechaholics, were honored last Sunday, March 22 by being inducted into the South Texas Polka Hall of Fame.Taking place during the 45th annual South Texas Polka and Sausage Fest, this was the eight induction HOF ceremonies held during the event.

South Texas Polka Fest this weekend

The 44th Annual South Texas Polka and Sausage Fest will take place this weekend. All festivities are scheduled at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.On Friday, the Red Ravens and Vanek’s of West will perform from 6 to 11 p.m.

Msgr. Peters inducted into South Texas Polka Hall of Fame

The 6th Annual South Texas Polka Hall of Fame ceremony was held Sunday afternoon, March 24 with Sacred Heart Catholic Church pastor, Msgr. John Peters inducted into the HOF.Born in Schulenburg on October 14, 1948, Msgr. John attended and graduated from St. Michael’s School in Weimar, Msgr.
