As Americans gather around dinner tables this November, the tradition of Thanksgiving brings families together in celebration of gratitude and unity.There are numerous traditions and customs that people partake in during Thanksgiving.The first tradition dates all the way back to November of 1621.
Look for Jake Heck and his fellow bandmates, including band directors from all 50 states, to follow right behind the Snoopy float. The 97th annual event airs on NBC affiliates and Peacock starting at 7:30 a.m. for those of us in the Central Time Zone.

As this edition went to production, local band leader Jake Heck and his bride, Morgan, were boarding a plane for New York City, where he will meet up with hundreds of other band directors from across the country—from all 50 states, in fact—for the performance of a lifetime.
