Elections office names voter sticker contest winners

The Lavaca County Elections Department held its second, biannual art contest to decide pictures that will be featured on the “I Voted” and “Future Voter” stickers for the 2026-27 elections.

Yoakum run-off election results

The results are in for the Yoakum City Council elections. For Yoakum City Council, there were two open spots for Place 2 and Place 4. Winning the spot for Place 2 is Daniel Driskell. He received 208 votes while his opponent, Jay Cassell, received 196 votes.
