Brahmas finish 10th

AUSTIN – Brahma golf finished 10th at the UIL State Tournament held Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28 at Jimmy Clay Golf Course.The Brahmas shot a team total 334-345-679.Eli Ferguson shot the best score with a 78-80-158.

Brahmas 10th after first day

AUSTIN – Brahma golf was in 10th place after the first round of the UIL State Golf Tournament held at Jimmy Clay Golf Course Monday.The Brahmas shot a team total of 334.Defending state champion Wall carded a 304, Gunter was second (307) and Cameron Yoe third (311).

Brahma golf qualifies for state

VICTORIA – The Brahma golf team is headed to state after finishing second in the Class 3A Region IV Tournament at Victoria Country Club Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14.The Brahmas shot a team total of 689 – 337 the first 18 holes and 352 in the second round.

Ferguson 6th after first round of regional golf

VICTORIA – Brahma golfer Eli Ferguson was tied for sixth after the first round of the 3A Region 4 Tournament at Victoria Country Club Monday.Ferguson shot an 8-under-par 80. Industrial’s Myles Malek is atop the leader board with a one-under 71.

SH flourishes in district golf

GEORGETOWN – The Indianettes finished second and the Indians third in the District Tournament.The Indianettes finished second with a 427.Kenzie Chance was third medalist with a 98,Avery Beach was fourth medalist with a 99 and Mabry Machac fired a 112 for eighth medalist.

The Brahma golf team finished second in the District 25-AAA Golf Tournament held at Victoria’s Riverside Park Golf Course Monday, March 30.The scores were as close as close could be.Hallettsville shot a team total of 337, one stroke behind Columbus. Vanderbilt Industrial was third with a 338.

Indianettes win own tournament

The Indianettes proved to be rude hosts in easily winning the Sacred Heart Tournament at Municipal Golf course Wednesday, March 25.The Indianettes shot a total score of 399 and won the tournament 54 strokes ahead of the second place team.

Brahmas second in district golf

The Brahma golf team finished second in the District 25-AAA Tournament at Victoria’s Riverside Park Golf Course Monday.Members of the team are Liam Ferguson, Ty Sklar, Colt Zavesky, Canyon Zavesky and Eli Ferguson.Details in next week’s paper.

S’Burg wins SH Tournament

Led by Reid Janda’s 74, led the Schulenburg Shorthorns to a first place in the Sacred Heart Tournament held at Hallettsville Municipal Golf MondayJanda also had the longest drive.Schulenburg shot a team score of 335 and beat second place Shiner by two strokes.

Brahma Golf Third

VICTORIA - Brahma golfers finished third in the tournament hosted by Sacred Heart at the Victoria County Club Monday, March 9.The Brahmas shot a team total of 347 with Victoria St. Joseph first (308) and Vanderbilt Industrial second (318).
