Shiner Baseball: Comanches down ‘Cats, ‘Horns

The Comanches got two road wins last week against Yorktown and Schulenburg.

A dozen runs in the third inning paved the way for a 16-1 Shiner win at Yorktown on April 19.
Shiner went ahead 3-0 after two innings and the Wildcats pulled one run back in the bottom of the third to trail 15-1.
The Comanches tacked on an additional run in the top of the fifth.
AJ Patek got the win with one run on three hits and seven strikeouts in three innings.
Carson Schuette pitched two innings with one hit by pitch, two walks and five strikeouts.
Bryce Nerada led at the plate with three hits, two doubles, three runs and three RBI; Ryan Peterson led on defense with two putouts.

Drew Wenske went 3-for-4 with one home run, scored three total runs and had six RBI to lead Shiner in a 14-0 win at Schulenburg Friday.
Peterson had a great evening on the hill with a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and two walks.
Patek had three putouts and one assist on defense, with Wenske adding four assists.
